30 07 2006Can we talk about the pain of quickly downloading all the Blog Buddies’ posts from the past week (while listening to the Country dude sing about Jaysus and the Amer’can Flag –seriously, I’m way curious as to the thinking behind Java Bean’s playlist); so back at the Ranch I’m reading about the goings-on in everyone’s lives, and completely unable to comment. It is painful.
Anyway, I’m going to jump in on the Badger/Bookhart/TexPatriate meme. This I can type out here, and post in town. Added bonus: something to do while pretending to be interested in ‘The Green Berets’, which the boys really want me to watch for some reason.
1. Have you ever been searched by the cops? No, but after being pulled over on my way home from work one time a cop made me get out of my truck and stand on the side of IH35 during rush hour — in my leotard (I worked at a dance studio)– while he eyed me up and down. He actually made me turn around twice. I was seriously pissed, as was the African American female judge before whom I contested the ticket. Heh heh.
2. What color are your eyes? Hazel, heavy on green.
3. When was the last time you went sledding? Six years ago in Crested Butte, on an adult ski trip that included three couples and lots of alcohol.

19. Do you own any stuffed animals? Yes, Barry (my first teddy) and a pink elephant named Herbie that my sister crocheted for me when I was little. I slept with him for years. Also a polar bear named Fred that the BBE brought me when we were dating.

The grandkids plan an elaborate Viking funeral, steal his body, and drive off to the beach chanting, “No Worms! No Worms! No Worms!”. Well, that’s me. Plus very claustrophobic. I’m heading into the fire with nothin’ but a pine box.
65. What are three things you’re dying to have right now that would make everything just about perfect? If I had 3 unrestricted wishes they would be: an answer to childhood poverty; peace; & intelligent leaders in America. For me? I’m good– I’ve got the BBE and the babies. If I had to choose three things just for me? A superhero cape; two more babies; and an unlimited Whole Foods pass that never expired.
These are so fun! Love a good meme.
My dad wants a viking funeral. Like, for real. He wants us to light him on fire and set him adrift in a boat somewhere. I’ve tried explaining to him that it’s sort of illegal, but he’s pretty adamant. Sigh.
And dude! I had no idea Walter Payton had died! Sweetness! Now I’m all sad and it happened forever ago. No one ever tells me anything.
