Life is good…

…sitting in the Java Bean in Marble Falls with a friend, while the husbands go to HEB. We think they are plotting a meatish meal for tonight (I fed everyone turkey burgers last night).

Littlest has had a bevey of thirteen-year-old girls at the ranch for the last few days, and they have had the BEST time. We have had as much fun feeding/watching/listening/fishing with the crowd. Don’t ever believe that crapola about teenage girls not eating — we are talking a horde of LOCUSTS descending. The Boy had to fight for a biscuit in the mornings. He is a prince, helping bait hooks, putting up with the Hanna Montana marathon, and killing the water moccasin that was around the girls.

Speaking of Hannah, we (the adults) howled last night upon discovering that the actress playing Hannah is (for real) Billy Ray Cyrus’ daughter. And Billy Boy plays the daddy. Last night he was singing a song about missing his mullet.

So the Java Bean is a nice place to hang while the boys doing their hunting and gathering bit. Decent art on the walls; good music (the new Dixie Chicks right now, and no one has stood up and walked out); yummy coffee. Added bonus: cute barristo. Best of all? Wireless Internet!!! Whooo-hoooooo! It is hard for this girl to be away from her DSL. Oops– gotta go.

UPDATE: Christian Rock now playing. Followed by Christian C&W. Points lost. Hopes for finding a single Democrat in MFs begin to fall.
